SUMARE – Sustainable Management of Marine Resources and Environment Forum is established by the  Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment.  

The scope of the SUMARE Forum

The cope of SUMARE forum is to address the key challenges and opportunities related to sustainable management of marine resources and conservation of the marine environment. This forum brings together diverse stakeholders, including scientists, policymakers, environmentalists, companies and the community leaders, to discuss, collaborate and take action on a variety of issues.

 This is one of the series of activities of the MARE project – Coastal and delta sustainability for Southeast Asia to promote academic collaboration among stakeholders on MARE topics, the SUMARE forum is established and held on a non-regular basis. The form of organization can be in offline or online modes.

Stakeholders

The SUMARE Forum is a global registry of voluntary commitments and multi-stakeholder partnerships made by stakeholders in support of the implementation of the Sustainable Management of Marine Resources and Environment (SUMARE) in general and for MARE project in specific.

All stakeholders are encouraged to register their partnerships and voluntary commitments that support the implementation of the SUMARE into the platform, or through the different action networks, per their preference and alignment of interest.
