OBJECTIVES
Overall objective: Overall objective of the proposed project is to contribute to the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta region in a new background such as the Communist Party’s policies and the Government’s orientation.
CONTENT
The forum convokes many participants, including central and local governments, scientists, companies, domestic and international investors; connect, share information and propose policies and solutions to support sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region; The forum also create opportunities for communication, connection, and cooperation of programs and projects between partners, domestically and internationally.
FORUM TOPICS will focus on (1) environment, resources; (2) Education; (3) Sciences and Technology; (4) Socio-economic; (5) Transportation Infrastructure; (6) Collaboration.
SDMD 2022 International Symposium will contribute to the overview evaluation of the current status and propose strategic solutions focusing on Sciences- Technology for the mentioned topics; and through the forum, collaboration among national and international partners will be established and strengthen for the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta particular and the country general.

Assoc. Dr. Ho Thi Thanh Van, University of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City, presented a presentation with the topic “Research on climate change and environmental protection, natural resources of the University of Natural Resources and Environment” and proposed cooperation.
Within the framework of the international forum “Sustainable Development of the Mekong Delta – Vision 2045 (SDMD2045)”. The signing ceremony of cooperation between Can Tho University (CTU) and the University of Natural Resources and Environment Ho Chi Minh City (HCMUNRE) took place on 30 October in Can Tho.
Participating in the Signing on HCMUNRE’s side, there were the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Quyen – Rector of the Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Resources and Environment. On the CTU side, there was the presence of Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan – Rector of Can Tho University.
Cooperation agreement between CTU and HCMUNRE with the goal of building a sustainable partnership in the future, serving the common interests of the two universities. Specifically, the main cooperation contents are as follows: (1) Exchange of learning and teaching materials, scientific publications; (2) Exchange of teaching and research staff; (3) Exchange of students, trainees, doctoral students in study and research; (4) Cooperation in scientific research activities, seminars, publication of scientific works; (5) Cooperation in training and teaching activities; including the formulation, development, implementation and evaluation of training programs; recognition of training credits…
Leaders of the two Universities believe that through today’s cooperation signing ceremony, the relationship between CTU and HCMUNRE will become more and more close, opening up opportunities for future cooperation to promote efficiency, potential, strengths of each University.
