Forum SUMARE- Sustainable development of natural resources and environment in coastal and delta areas was established by the University of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City with the aim of creating an academic environment among scientists, businesses, and institutions/ organizations and unions interested in the sustainable development of natural resources and the environment in the seas and plains of Southeast Asia. This is one of the series of activities of the MARE project – Coastal and delta sustainability for Southeast Asia.
To promote academic collaboration among stakeholders on MARE topics, the SUMARE forum was established and held on a non-regular basis. The form of organization can be in offline or online modes.
The SUMARE Platform is a global registry of voluntary commitments and multi-stakeholder partnerships made by stakeholders in support of the implementation of the Sustainable Management of Marine Resources and Environment (SUMARE) in general and for MARE project in specific.
All stakeholders are encouraged to register their partnerships and voluntary commitments that support the implementation of the SUMARE into the platform, or through the different action networks, per their preference and alignment of interest.
