3.Planning of the future cooperation

After the opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Francesca Tolve – CNR’s International Affairs department had a brief presentation on CNR’s cooperation activities.

Prof.Dr. Francesca Tolve introduced the University of Bremen and potential cooperation opportunities within and outside the scope of the MARE project. She emphasized that the CNR funds amount to 30,000 to 50,000 Euros per year per laboratory, with a priority focus on the Earth and Environment field.

Next, Prof. Dr. Shaharin Anwar Sulaiman were the representatives of UTP to give a brief introduction on UTP’s cooperation activities. He emphasised that the exchange programs for lecturers and students are one of the feasible cooperative activities between the partners. UTP has many training programs which can cooperate with other universities in different levels: BSc, Master, and PhD programs.

a brief introduction on UTP’s cooperation activities.

Following the program, Prof. Dr. Marco Abbiati from Science Attaché at the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi; University of Bologna discussed on coastal Development Versus Coastal Conservation. He stated that healthy ecosystems and an attractive environment are vital for tourism and highlighted the need to implement smart technologies to support green/eco-tourism and other mitigation approaches.
