Nguyen Thi Bay
Nguyen Thi Bay is an Associate Professor and Head of Fluid Mechanics Division, University of Technology – Vietnam National University HCMC where she has been since 1997. She received an M.S. from University of Meteorology and Hydrology, Leningrad, Russia in 1987 and a Ph.D. in this University in 1996. From 1997 to 2002 she worked at Fluid Mechanics Division, University of Technology– Vietnam National University HCMC, eventually as a lecturer, and between 2012 and 2015 served as a Deputy Head of the Division. She works in the fields of numerical model in the river and coastal area. In recent years, she has focused on calculate hydrodynamic in river, sediment transport, trend of deposition and erosion, riverbank failure by mathematical model. She has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of environmental science and water resources, particularly environmental information technology on problems at building hydrodynamic model.
