Accordingly, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Tuan from Can Tho University reported on the results of compiling ebook chapter 1- Geographical characteristics of coastal resources in Vietnam. In this content, the participants discussed the inconsistency between data sources on the area of the East Sea, the waters of Vietnam and the terms South China sea and the East Sea. The collective agreed to use the officially announced source of documents from the Vietnamese books/website.

Next, MSc. Tran Thi Kim-HCMUNRE presented the results of compiling the ebook chapter 2. Issues on natural resources and marine environment in Vietnam. After compiling the content of this chapter, the editorial team found that the content of chapter 2 more or less overlaps with the remaining chapters. Therefore, the group proposes to revise some items inside the chapter accordingly. Besides, the statistics serving the compilation face many difficulties: national statistics are not continuous over many years, the form for statistics of all kinds of resources after 2015 has changed to a new form, and previous statistical lists do not match the list of statistics after 2015. For example, the area of mangroves from 2015 and earlier is included in the statistical lists of localities, but from 2015 to present mangroves are converted into wetlands.

Dr. Ho Thi Yen Thu, MCD presented the results of compiling ebook chapter 3-Coastal region of the Red River Delta. Similar to the HCMUNRE group, the MCD team proposed to revise the subsections inside each chapter so that the contents are balanced.

MSc. Phan Minh Thu, representative of VNIO reported the results of compiling ebook chapter 4- Coastal Area in the central region of Vietnam. According to MSc. Phan Minh Thu, the content of chapters 3, 4, 5 should be changed to chapters 2, 3, 4 and the items inside the 3 chapters should be presented the same, only different geographical areas.

Date 2: December 20, 2022:
